I just feel kinda funny asking you not to touch me at all. If I'm separate here then they probably did it for a reason. It'd probably take something like... like both of us really wanting to merge again to make it happen.

But maybe I'm wrong. Naminé knows a lot more about us than I do.

[Deal with it Roxas. And there's a pause on his end. It was safe to say he didn't want to merge again. As much as a pain being at half-strength was? It was worth it if Roxas got to be his own person and live his own life. And selfishly, Sora....enjoyed being just Sora. As much as he cared about Roxas, he never wanted to be anybody else but Sora. So part of him didn't want to risk even touching]

[But on the other hand, Roxas had a point. However they got separated again, it had to be something pretty powerful. And if they went through the effort to do it.....surely, it'd take less than a touch to undo it right?]

[And so it's time to take the kind of route that got Roxas made in the first place: complete pragmatic recklessness]

but if the initiative did it maybe they can do it again if you are wrong

[Whoa, whoa, whoa. Roxas' offhanded idea wasn't supposed to get that kind of reaction. He just wanted to know what Sora thought. He didn't... want to consent to a possibly dangerous experiment.

And yet, this might be the only way for them to deal with it. As bad as it makes him feel, Roxas, too, has been growing accustomed to being just himself and not... someone else. If he disappeared now, Lea would be furious.]

[Roxas you were one with this guy for like a year. You should know by now not to give him any ideas that he can impulsively follow through if you don't have the will to say no. Seriously]

[And that sure is a non-answer. But whatever, Sora will take it. It's better to know now than say, in the middle of a fight or something, right?]

[But he can't help but smile at that before he switches off the tablet to head out.]

[And he switches it off again, in about a minute, there's a knock on his door]

[Roxas answers the door, as promised, with a tub of really awesome-smelling popcorn in one arm and a six pack of soda in the other. He's wearing a black hoodie and jeans, and overall looks pretty comfortable.]

Hey. Looks like the other guy is out for tonight, so we have the place to ourselves.

[And Sora is there with...also a dark hoodie and jeans. But at least his hoodie has some bright blue circuit pattern all over it. What? It reminded him of Tron. Also, zippers.]

[He's totally happy to see Roxas and his food.]

Hey, cool! [Sleeping all alone sucks, but this is different] Whose your roommate anyway?

[That's a neat hoodie. He likes it, but he'll just stick with his plain one for now. He moves aside to let Sora in.]

I think his name's Finn. He's got a weird white hat that makes him look like a cat or something. We don't really talk much.

[heartstorage]

A hat that makes him look like a cat...huh! Interesting!

[Wonder why he wears that? But he shrugs as he heads on in. Maybe if he ever meets this Finn guy, he'll ask him]

My roommate likes to hang garlic at our door because he thinks it'll keep out werewolves. It's pretty weird.

Garlic keeps out werewolves?

[Not that he knows intimately about the lives of werewolves. It's like vampires and ghosts-- a part of the weird lore that was Halloween Town.]

That is pretty weird. I thought garlic was for cooking.

[Roxas you sweet summer child. He makes a "ha" noise as he grabs a handful of Roxas's popcorn and starts explaining in that all knowing tone that a big sibling takes on for their stupid little brother.]

[You know, in between munching on popcorn]

No. Garlic is used to keep out vampires. [Duh!] He just has it all backwards and won't listen to anything.

[Roxas' slightly arched eyebrow is pretty much self explanatory here.]

Well, whatever helps him sleep at night. It's not like this whole base is full of people who know how to fight or anything.

[Roxas doesn't think they're liable to be attacked from the inside. The United Earth is the biggest threat and they already nuked Exsilium and probably think they're all dead, so whatever.

He's still mad about that but there's not much to be done about it right now. He sits crosslegged on the floor and cracks open one of the old timey soda bottles.]

This is actually kinda nice.

[What not his fault you surround yourself with arrogant brats.]

Yeah, I guess. Still wish he'd do something that didn't smell so much.

[But whatever he's dropping two days after this conversation anyway. He'll plop down on the floor across from Roxas and reach over for a soda]

Heh, yeah. I haven't really gotten to just hang out with someone in awhile.

[Not since he left the islands to do the Mark of Mastery. Sure, that was only a few months ago, but...it feels like so much longer]
